Special Ingredients

Ten Grain Rice

It is a combination of Toyama Koshihikari rice and original blended 10 grain rice such as barley, red rice, brown rice and glutinous millet. White rice contains carbohydrates to provide energy, whereas ten grain rice provides the body with vitamins, minerals, fibre and enzymes necessary for metabolism, bringing a mouthful of taste and nutritional benefits.


Made with 100% raw sugar from Okinawa sugar cane. The refined and milky sugar is rich in minerals and a mild sweetness. The minerals it contains is 10 times more than Sanonto and 80 times more than white sugar. Café&Meal MUJI uses honwakatou in some of the delis, desserts and drinks to bring out the mild sweetness for people to enjoy healthily.

Uji Matcha

Hundreds of years, Uji in Kyoto is well-known as the the captial of Green Tea. With generations of accumulated skills and experience, farmers select those without oxidation and fermentation sprouts and put them under the steaming green and dry-out process. With the appropriate temperature and humidity, the green tea powder has been grinded by a mortar slowly to save the antioxidant catechins, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in the green tea.
With the Uji Matcha powder, Café&Meal MUJI developes a variety of special desserts and drinks with the refreshing taste of green tea to introduce the traditional taste from Japan.
